QUAD CITY DOWNS RACECOURSE

The Illinois racecourse of East Moline Downs opened for thoroughbred racing in 1973, although it remained operational for just a short time before going bankrupt. The site had previously been used to host harness racing from the 1950s, and remained operational until the early 1990s.

Once harness racing ceased the site was used to offer simulcasts and became a casino called Quad City Downs. This remained operational until closing permanently on 31st January 2015.
